>ARRANGING FOR THE NOTATION OF A DANCE

In order to notate a dance, it is necessary that:

The work is taught to dancers who do not already know it
Funding is available for the project
A notator is available
The notator have access to all rehearsals
The dancers are not learning the work by looking at a videotape
Rehearsals will not be going on in more than one place at the same time

Dance Notation Bureau is happy to work with you to find funding for the project; often DNB has funds that can be used. The farther in advance that discussions are initiated, the better the chances are that funding can be found and a notator scheduled.
