Charles Ives, The Unanswered Question
Length: 5 minutes, 30 seconds
Costume: White leotard, tights and silk tunic.
Notation: 1981, good quality with general timing
Consultancy: Required
This solo has a haunting and mysterious quality. It requires excellent
technique and stage presence. Much of the movement is slow, although
there is one brief "presto" section.
A "six o'clock" arabesque is required. It was notated as it
was taught by members of the Joyce Trisler company for the purpose of
notation, shortly after Tristler's death.
